The Team: Craftspeople and Collaborators
At Harris Horology we work with a number of Craftspeople who allow us to repair watches, clocks and chronometers, as well as their cases, dials and any other related components to the highest standards. This small group of specialists means that all repairs, restoration or conservation are carried out by someone who is truly an expert in their field.
James Harris FBHI
Horologist & Watchmaker
An award-winning horologist who studied at Birmingham School of Jewellery, James has worked for brands such as Tag Heuer, Omega, and Christopher Ward. He has also returned to Birmingham as a lecturer. In 2023 he was awarded FBHI status to recognise his skills and achievements.
James chose to launch Harris Horology in 2017. You can see all his past and current work here.
Corentin Currit
Horologist & Watchmaker
Corentin completed his apprenticeship in the Chopard Manufacture and the CIFOM Technical School in Le Locle, where he finished top apprentice of the canton. In 2019 he won the Cartier Watchmaking Institute contest.
After working for companies like Breitling and Baume & Mercier, Corentin moved to London in 2023 to work on a wider range of clocks and watches.
Arthur Peters
Furniture and Wood Restoration
Arthur Peters studied furniture restoration and conservation at Hout-en-Meubilerings College Amsterdam, and then West Dean College of Arts and Conservation, where he was awarded the BADA Geoffrey Moss Prize.
Arthur has over fifteen years of professional restoration and conservation experience, including a decade of work at one of the UK's preeminent antique dealers.
Tiago Olivera ACR
Enamel Dial Restoration
Tiago Oliveira is a qualified conservator-restorer with more than ten years of experience working with a wide range of materials and objects in private and public collections.
He holds an MA in Conservation Studies from the internationally-renowned West Dean College (West Sussex), where he received the BADA Geoffrey Moss Prize at the end of his studies.
