MOVEMENT REPAIR AND SERVICING
At the heart of our clock repairing is movement cleaning and servicing; the most common cause of a clock to stop is the effects from running many years without attention. Dust, dirt and old oil combined with mechanical wear and tear will eventually stop even the most robust mechanism.
After thorough cleaning, and a detailed inspection, the movement is repaired where necessary and fresh lubrication applied. Each clock goes through a rigorous test period to ensure the highest standards of work.
We are British Horological Institute Accredited (MBHI) and a member of the British Watch and Clockmakers Guild.
CONSERVATION-LED APPROACH
Our experience working on museum-grade objects and with conservators requires practises which inform our work on private objects. All work requires a methodical, thought-out approach with the future of the object in mind.
We are always happy to guide clients on recommended work. We firmly believe an object should work well, but remain proud of it’s life and history.

Component Manufacture
Whatever it is, we can make it. Damaged or broken components are no issue as we are equipped and skilled with a wide range of modern and traditional tools and equipment, allowing anything to be made in-house.
CASE AND DIAL REPAIR
We work with talented wood. paint and ceramics conservators to repair and restore clock cases and dials. In our experience, generations of use can leave clock cases tired and unstable, with parts missing or damaged. Wood can also be damaged by damp, sun-bleached, or even damaged during transport.
We are always careful not to over-restore, and remain conservation-led so as to ensure objects look their age and keep their charm.

Electric clocks are a truly specialist area of horology and we are unique in that we can repair and restore all types of systems, including Synchronome, Gents and unique installations.
We have extensive experience in servicing master clocks, slave dials, and mains-synchronous units.
DESIGN AND MANUFACTURE
We have the tools and ability to design and manufacture anything from a single damaged or missing component up to a bespoke clock movement.
