If you want honesty and great value then visit Harris Horology. James did a amazing job in servicing my Aqua Dive watch. It looks and feels brand new he is the only person i will be going to from now on to repair or service any of my watches.
James cleaned and restored a 200 year old long-case clock to perfect working order, after a period of at least 40 years when it had had no attention. This work included restoring the face to its original condition and replacing long lost parts. Consequently, the clock is now in its original working order. The restoration was very sensitively undertaken, so that the clock works perfectly, though its age is acknowledged.
Consequently I would unhesitatingly recommend Harris Horology for restoring clocks.
James serviced a 1940s Omega for me that hadn't seen the right side of a watchmakers bench for a very long time - before taking in the watch he talked through the work to be completed, advised what would be possible, timescale and cost. The watch was returned faster than expected, fully serviced, running perfectly, and all at a very reasonable price. A thoroughly reassuring and professional service!
Excellent work! My longcase clock is now working better than ever before. I can strongly recommend Harris Horology, who are highly knowledgeable and skilled.
James Harris is an extremely professional and courteous professional. He took his time in answering all my queries before us agreeing for the service provided, kept me up to date with the entire process and was extremely accomodating of my requirements. I will most definitely use his service against and recommend him to all my watch adicionado colleagues.
James is a highly professional and technically brilliant horologist. He has real empathy for the antique timepieces he works on. Coupled with modern day, top notch customer service, the results achieved for his customers are uniformly excellent; and represent real value for money for the time, care and precision taken.
James serviced an Ernest Borel automatic, dating from the 1950's, which was to be a gift for my son. James ensured the work was completed within our agreed deadline and went to great lengths to secure the desired watch strap, including the provision of a temporary strap to enable it to be worn on a special family occasion. Excellent service provided with a smile! Highly recommended.
Excellent and efficient customer service combined with high skill, knowledge and quality finish. I had a couple of bad experiences with high street watch repair specialists, who told me the vintage watches couldn't be repaired after sending them away to their specialist repair centre and having to chase for updates. James made it look so easy.
One of the few watchmakers who can be trusted to do a good job. My Harwood Autorist is one of about 4,000 and I waited some time before I could find someone who would not wreck it. James Harris has the enthusiasm, skill and patience to tackle any watch repair job in a modern workshop that would be the envy of the early great watchmakers such as Tompion and Breguet!
Very happy with the service indeed. James is an expect and was able to repair an old watch which has flummoxed many other people. I would not hesitate in recommending him.
James manage to bring lo life a 1948s watch that had been death in the draw and categorised ‘as un-repairable’ since 1960s!
He managed not only to fix it but to find the perfect strap for it!
Amazing studio/museum based in a tucked away mews in South East London, fully equipped to overcome any makers challenges...
James Harris recently serviced my 47 year-old Rolex Tudor Chronograph. It's now in perfect woking order, and I have ultimate confidence in his talents. Moreover, his charges are far less than the company who previously serviced my watch. I'm very happy!
Delighted to find a young professional passionate craftsman. James refurbished a vintage Lange & Sohne deck watch with power reserve pocket watch from scratch and had to fabricate some new parts as well. Now it's looking and running as new.

James Harris carried out a complete service of our family 18 carat half hunter made by J W Benson 1897. His customer service and craftsmanship are second to none and he was good enough to even take pictures of the hunter for us he so carefully dismantled and lovingly completely serviced. I high recommend him you cannot do better than this.
